To Alaska and back.

Texas 4000 is a 501(c) non-profit dedicated to sharing hope, knowledge, and charity for cancer research and cancer support services.

It's also one of the greatest organizations I have the privilege to be a part of.

In the summer of 2019, I'll be cycling 4000+ miles from Austin to Anchorage, Alaska with 90 other teammates to educate the community, present charitable donations, and share our stories regarding our personal experiences with cancer. In the time we spend with Texas 4000, each "rider" is required to raise $4,500, bike 2,000 miles before our summer ride, and volunteer 50 hours in the community.

When I first joined the team, I originally came in with intentions for two people. One being someone that was simply too young to know what having cancer is like. And one being the reason that I am alive and well in America, studying at one of the most amazing universities in the world. I certainly hope that one day cancer can be something manageable. I hope I can contribute to this future.
